Trauma shapes how we see ourselves, how we relate to other people, how our body responds to stress and what we expect from the world around us. Its not about memory!

Trauma therapy is about understanding these responses in the context of what you’ve experienced, while gradually helping you feel safer, more grounded and more able to respond differently in the present. We won’t simply ask you to retell difficult experiences. We’ll work at a pace that feels manageable, building the resources you need before moving towards processing what has happened. Depending on what you need, this might involve relational and trauma-focused talking therapy, practical stabilisation and emotional regulation work, or a specific trauma-processing approach such as EMDR. The aim isn’t to erase what happened. It’s to help the past feel more like the past, so it has less power over your life now.

THIS IS OFTEN A GOOD FIT IF

You’ve been through something difficult or traumatic that still affects you - whether it happened recently or many years ago.

Your body reacts strongly to certain situations, people, places or sensations, even when you know intellectually that you’re safe now.

You notice that past experiences continue to shape your relationships, sense of self, emotional responses or the way you cope today.

You’re tired of simply managing the impact of what happened and would like to work towards processing it and feeling more free in the present.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a specific form of trauma therapy that can help the brain process experiences that still feel emotionally or physically ‘stuck’.

Graduate programme

We run a graduate programme every week, an opportunity to have that back up after an intensive piece of therapy has finished so to. Because finishing therapy doesn’t mean you stop being human.

Individual therapy

One-to-one work with a senior clinician, matched to you rather than to whoever has a gap. We agree the approach together on the first call and review it as we go.

Individual DBT Therapy

One-to-one work with a senior clinician, matched to you rather than to whoever has a gap. We agree the approach together on the first call and review it as we go.

Full DBT programme

The complete, adherent DBT model: weekly individual therapy, a skills group, between-session phone coaching and a consult team behind your therapist. Run in intakes so groups start together.

DBT-Informed Groups

Skills-only groups for people who want the practical tools - distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness - without the full commitment.

Trauma therapy, including EMDR

For single-incident trauma and for the longer, more tangled kind. Paced carefully, with stabilisation first - we won't rush you into processing before you're ready.

Neurodivergent-Informed Therapy

Every therapist here adapts as standard: sensory needs, processing time, written summaries, sessions can be recorded to be reviewed afterwards, walking sessions. You shouldn't have to mask to get therapy.

Family & parent work

Support for the people around someone who's struggling - including parents of teenagers, and DBT skills for families.
